Training
Joette has extensive experience of designing custom training to meet the varying needs of a range of organisations. Joette has written and delivered a diverse range of training programmes for organisations in recent years. These have included:
- a programme of national training events relating to the creation of respite services that are appropriate and accessible to minority ethnic communities, for Shared Care Scotland
- courses for senior level staff that are repeatedly offered through Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations Council
- a two-day course for members of the Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations (ACOSVO)
- Management committee roles, responsibilities and skills for Link-Up, a women’s mental health support project in Edinburgh
- training on Action Research through her role as a research mentor with the Scottish Communities Action Research Fund (Communities Scotland).

In 1996 Joette co-wrote a 20 hour course for women called Your Body to You, which ran successfully on a number of occasions until 2000. She continues to run personal development workshops and classes, primarily through Energetics complementary health centre in Edinburgh.
